Programs, Activities & Events

Roy Warner Memorial Park was dedicated to Aiken County Parks, Recreation, and Tourism in 1986. The park is located two miles outside of Wagener off Hwy 39. This original park includes three ball fields, a basketball court with Plexiglas backboards, picnic shelter, multiple benches and outdoor grills, playground area, concession stand, and community center. Roy Warner Park is home of the Wagener Dixie Youth Baseball and Softball program. The ball fields and community center are available for rent for your special event.

In 2011, Aiken County purchased the adjacent Young Farmers of Wagener property in the hopes of park expansion. Opening in the spring of 2017, the new property now features a football/soccer field, concession stand with bathrooms, maintenance building, and a newly paved parking lot and front entrance. Youth football, flag football, soccer, and events will be held on the new field, which is the first football field in the Aiken County park system. Call for more information on sports programs or booking the facility.

The newest addition is a paved walking track that was funded by a state Recreational Trails Program grant.  The track is ½ mile long and meanders throughout the old park and new side of the park in a series of 2 loops.  All of the outfield fencing has been replaced and given new fence toppers to finish off the look.  There is also a Born Learning Trail on the track that was added in partnership with the United Way of Aiken County.
